Count down to OUR CRUISE!

Only 3 more days!

I can already smell the ocean.

And I already miss my kids. :(

Here are some of my favorite pics from our previous cruises. :)

Something to hold ya over till we get back.... :)

Dining on the cruise...

Jamaica Mon!

A little bit of Mexico... lol

Freaky-n-laws!

Josh and I after I 'got my hair did'.  lol

BTW- In case you haven't noticed.
We took pictures with EVERYONE. lol

Never again....

Mainly due to no seatbelts and the drivers in Jamaica finding it funny to drive on the wrong side of the road, head on with other traffic.
Nope. Never again.

Once you taste this rum, you never go back.

Josh thought he was Tarzan in the jungle. lol

Our Guest Room

I debated on posting pictures, but then I realized this is probably the only time you will see it this organized so I might as well.

When we added on to our home this was the first room I decorated.  I knew I wanted to do a 'beach' themed room and it was SO easy to find stuff to coordinate with this theme.

If you look past the barbie jeep, 4 wheeler and storage tubs I think this room turned out pretty cute.

This room was decorated on a VERY small budget. Most everything was from a garage sale or dollar tree.

For instance, I made a super cheap headboard out of rattan rugs I bought at dollar tree.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with this room!

Trash vs Treasure

Last night Josh and I tackled the daunting task of cleaning out our  guestroom/storage room. It was a large task and with Josh's organization tactics, there was sure to be some bickering.

For instance, he wanted to throw away all my stuff.

Example A:

When he came across all the left over Princess Party and Carnival Party stuff.

"This is all garbage." He announced.

"Um, no its not!" I said.

"We are never going to use this stuff again. " He argued, like our girls will never have another birthday again.

"I am not throwing away UN-opened table cloths, napkins, and party favors!" I debated.

He stated that we have too much junk and we need to get rid of everything we don't use or need.

 I agreed.

However, strangely, he only wanted to throw away my things.

Example B:

I came across his old paintball gun.

I didn't really want to throw it away, however I wanted to prove a point. And I did. :)

"Well this is garbage." I declared.

"No, no that is not garbage. I'm going to use that!" He cried.

In the 6 years Josh and I have been together, not once has he used that thing.  And when I told him that he claimed that he has been 'planning' on using it.

Next when I came across an old CD case from high school full of 90's hits. I announced again that it was garbage, because like  HE said we need to get rid of everything we don't use or need.

"Oh no! That is not trash! I have been looking for those! " He argued, referring to his case of Cd's filled with Jewel, Matchbox 20, Aqua, and various other 'timeless' classics.

Laughing, I stated that he has not listened to any of those Cd's in 6 years and I am very sure that he wouldn't miss them.

Sensing my triumph, I gave in..

Amazingly after that he left my stuff alone and we finished cleaning our guestroom dispute-free. :)

Our promiscuous feline

The past few nights I've been hearing some ruckus on our deck.

I thought it was the dog.
Sunday morning I awoke to Swiper (our cat), by the looks of it, was getting gang rapped on our back deck.

Its hard to tell, but Swiper is the stripped cat UNDER the black cat.

I guess Garfield was just there awaiting his turn....

Luckily the girls remained asleep and missed the show.

I banged on the window to scare the other cats away.

And there was Swiper.

Is it me, or does it look like she is smiling?

Rilyn's 1st time cleaning her room...

After the little incident with Rilyn's room getting trashed, I vowed never to let it happen again.
Never again will I stay up till 11:30 cleaning up my 3 year olds room, on a work night!
I wont even mention the BILLIONS of Lego's I had to clean up.
Thank you Aunt Sarah-Bug.
I wanted to bag them up and invite everyone over for a bonfire.
Oh how I can not wait till she has a little one........ :)
Anyway, now Rilyn is in charge of cleaning her own room.
The other night before bed I asked her to go and clean up her room. It wasn't very messy, just some books and barbies were out.
She said OK and went straight to clean her room!
I was surprised and ecstatic.
No fuss, no threats of time-out... I must have the best kid ever!!
She came out 5 minutes later and informed me it was all clean.
"OK, well I'm going to go check." I warned.
I knew she didn't not clean it in 5 minutes.
"No don't go check!!"She quickly responded.
"Well you better go finish cleaning it up." I instructed.
She marched back to her room to finish cleaning it.
This time she was a lot less enthusiastic.
She then returned, again about 5 minutes later.
When I warned her that I was going to go check it she said OK and led the way.
As soon as we got into her room I noticed the floor was clean.
"Great job! I'm so proud of you!" I said.
"I just shoved everthing under my bed!! " She announced.
VERY proudly.

My Wardrobe Assistant

Saturday we had plans to go to the comedy club for a friend of ours birthday. I spent a generous amount of time that afternoon getting ready.

I had a hard time deciding what to wear so I asked Rilyn for her opinion.

"Should mommy wear this shirt?.." I asked her.

She quickly responded with ... "um. no. I don't like it."

When I asked her why she didn't like it she then told me it was because it didn't fit me.

Enough said.
I changed into another shirt.

When I realized she may have been right and maybe I should listen to her opinion I, hesitantly, again asked "How do I look now?"

"Are you pregnant with a baby brother?" She asked, smiling and giggling.

"Nooo.... why?..." I asked.
I should of known where this was going...

"Because it looks like there is one in there." She said.
And granted I do still look 4 1/2 months pregnant, however, I didn't expect a 3 to notice that!
"You want me to pick you out a princess dress?"..She asked
Sure.
Why not?
I mean, she did do an excellent job dressing herself that day....
