A letter to Ryker on his 3rd birthday.

Dear Ryker,

Today you are three.  It may not seem like a big birthday to you, but to me it is.  I feel like I just gave birth to you yesterday.  And now?  You’re becoming a whole human by yourself.

The world is a better place because you are in it, Ryker.  Not only do you make my days brighter, you brighten that of those around you. Your siblings adore you. It melts my heart when they cant wait to get home from school to see you or how "Lilyn" asked to come home from staying at a sleepover because she missed you. They always want to play with you and entertain you.

Strangers and friends always  say “your son is so sweet” or “he's so cute," or "you son just threw a ball at me and said he was trying to hit me in the pecka."

You just make people smile, my sweet boy.

You LOVE some baseball and boy do we love watching you play. You look up to Raigen so much and get so excited to cheer for her at her softball games.

You get excited when CJ plays with you with your boy-toys and y'all "fight." You are 100% all boy.

I want to melt when I hear you sing.  That little voice is just so precious. Whether we’re singing “Row Row Row Your Boat” ,  “Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed”, or "All I do is Win", by DJ Khaledit is literally the most precious thing.  I hope it continues as you grow my little rap superstar.

I never want to forget the way you call me your “snuggle bunny” when you need snuggles.  Or how you ask me to "cause the TB" so you can go pee. Or how you screem, "Bumble Bee!" and get excited every time you spot a yellow car... or truck... or van. Or how you call Rilyn: “Lilyn”. Or how you call horses "hee-haws".  Or even how you tell me, "Momma, move so I can punch you in your snoozie”- I wont elaborate on this but this kid thinks it is just so darn funny to punch people ....  in their privates.

And we all think it is funny, too.

As much as I miss the days that have passed when you were my little baby, I am loving the moments now.  Especially when you say “I love you mom” and throw those little arms around my neck.

Or when you give me a titty twister and scream,  "How you scare a bee, mom?"

On your 3rd birthday I want you to remember this:
I love you more than you love bulldozers and Rescue Bots.

Happy Birthday!

Have fun.  Play hard.  Stay sweet.

All my love,
Mommy

You are loved more than you could ever know, Ryker.
