Super easy last minute Valentine idea!

It's no secret hat we are totally last minuters (if there's even such a word).

If something has to be done chances are we're working extra hard the day before to get it done... Or sometimes the hour before.

Today we threw together this last-minute (and super cheap!)  Valentine card for Raigen's class!

And it's no surprise that it had to be softball themed!

And what do you know, five years ago we we're working on the same sort of Valentine's card for my mother-in-law!

This still has to be my favorite card to date!

Haha, you suck Lubby..... there have never been more true words spoken 😉

And of course I couldn't leave the teachers out!

All I have left to do is attach a Sonic gift card to the back and they are good to go!

 So easy!

Another one!

Last night was my night to host bunkos.

This month is also a good friends of mines birthday, so for her birthday present I made her a name collage.

I didn't realize what I had gotten myself into until I started trying to find all the letters for Valderez or a big enough frame!

Anyway, after 2 trips to walmart I think it turned out pretty cute.

I think everyone else liked it too, I got some orders for more! :)

BOY Letters!

Wow! With only girls and all nieces I never get to do cool boy stuff! This was fun!

I think I maybe ready for a little Josh!

NOT!
 Hehe...

A friend of mine bought solid green and yellow paper and the letters at hobby lobby and I offered to make the letters for her.

I painted the letters black and glued the green and yellow paper on them.

It was just way too plain for me though. :)

She wanted them John Deere theme, but she couldn't find any John Deere scrapbook paper.

SO, I cut out like a million John Deere logos from the Internet and glued them randomly on the letters then I took my ink pad and distressed the edges of the letters, I think they turned out CUTE!!!

I hope she likes them!

Chalkboard fun!

I bought a can of chalkboard spray paint and went crazy. The first item I tackled was a large framed poster that I bought at the dollar store on clearance for $1! I didn't care for the picture in it but I figured it was a good deal since I couldn't of bought just the frame for that price. I pained right over the picture with chalkboard paint. I then took some zebra letter stickers and put Rilyn's name at the top and hung it right below her chair rail in her room. She LOVES it, as you can probably tell. :)

The next thing I made was a chalkboard menu sign for my kitchen. I took an old yellow frame and painted it black and distressed it, next I painted a piece of glass with the chalk board frame and attached it to the frame with hot glue. :)

I like it, however I think I might like it more with a distressed white frame, so I may repaint the frame. :)

New Name Sign

Last week I spotted this frame at the DOLLAR STORE and  knew it would work perfect for our name!

Look how pretty! And it only cost $10!

BTW-  my co-worker told me her husband bought one with their name at the rodeo for $80! Yikes.

Our Sunday afternoon project: The Girls New Kitchen!

Even though we are not completely finished yet I've decided to post some pictures. The girls  each have their own plastic kitchens in their rooms. Which is perfect for Raigen, but Rilyn is ready for bigger and better things. :)
I found this idea on line and though it would look perfect on my front porch for the girls!

Ever wonder what to do with that old TV Entertainment Center??..

Here is the before, I almost forgot to take a picture!
(The entertainment center was FREE from a coworker.)

Here is the after!  :)

The refrigerator.
We still need to pick up the magnetic pieces to make the doors stay shut.

The stove.
I bought a long kitchen handle at Lowe's and painted it white and hung it like the stove handle.

The sink.
We cleaned up and used the dogs water bowl for this and we used an old bathroom faucet from a previous bathroom remodel. I bought the mirror at Dollar Tree and painted the frame white for the window.  I hung a small shelf under the window. I also picked up all the hooks and the plant at Dollar Tree too.
Where the shelf and drawer  was in the middle. I took the drawer out and  bought some fabric and made a curtain for it and hung it with a tension rod. I also made a mini curtain for the window.

The only thing missing on this part is the stove top.We were up until 9:45 working on this last night and just didn't have it in us to finish it. We are going to finish it today and Ill post more pictures.
I bought the skillet at Dollar Tree along with the cooking utensils.

I think it turned out cute! And Rilyn LOVES it!

More Crafts!

When we added on to our house for some CRAZY reason I picked red as the color for them to paint our new hallway. Why? I have no idea. It might of been OK had I not picked 'Ronald McDonald red'... Anyway, needless to say, it was hideous. Sunday I couldn't take it anymore and I repainted our hallway. And now I've been decorating it!
I stole this idea from a booth at our Christmas in Our Town last month. I loved the idea, but I wasn't about to pay the price. So I made them myself. I went outside at work and looked for 'natural' letters to spell our last name and take pictures of! lol
I printed them, framed them, and hung it in my new hallway.... and I love it!!!
Best part is I got the frames and mattes at Dollar Tree so this cost me about $5!!

New car seat covers!

I saw this adorable fabric at walmart, its just beautiful! It has specs of glitter in the fabric! CUTE! Anyway-I had another impulse to make the girls matching car seat covers now that Raigen has out grown her infant car seat. So I purchased 2 yards of fabric for only $8 and then I convinced my Mom to make them for me.... I really just don't have the time. Thank you Mommy!!
Do you know that these range from $50-$80 on eBay?
Yep, I just posted some for sale! :D

Meet Spunky, my diaper monkey! :)

I love making my own gifts for baby showers, heck, I like making other peoples gifts too!lol... anyway~ I received an invitation to a shower and thought... I'll make a diaper cake! Well... it turns out someone else thought that was a great idea too and had already made the mother-to-be one. So I really had to think.....She is doing the babies room in a jungle theme.. so why not make a diaper monkey :)
Isnt he so cute!?..
Everything on and in him is made from baby items. His body consist of diapers and a large bottle of baby wash, his head is diapers and wash cloths with socks as his ears. His hands and feet are socks too. And he is dressed in a cute outfit with a matching hat that says "my middle name is trouble"
So meet Spunky Trouble!

Kitty Cat Costume

I decided this year to make Rilyn's costume for Halloween. Tomorrow she will be in a costume contest so ... I kinda wanted her to have something original. So, I broke out my moms sewing machine last night! I'm really quite pleased with how it turned out! I have to say she is the cutest kitty I've ever seen! :)
