Little chef Rilyn was helping Mimi make chicken and dumplings and well... as you can see by the pictures she likes raw biscuits!! Ewww!!

Raigen Elise is one week!

One week old and her first doctors appointment all in one day. My poor Rilyn has been sick with a cough and yesterday my Raigen started to cough... so first thing this morning I took them both to the doctor. And Rilyn and Raigen are both sick. Rilyn got some cough medicine and anibiotics and Raigen cant take anything... :( She has RSV. Poor baby. We have to really keep any eye on her for the next few days. It is not good for newborns to get RSV. The doctor said she got it from Rilyn... so we have to keep those two sepperated otherwise, they can just keep passing the virus back and forth. My poor babies.... pray for them.

Br-Br-Br-Breastfeeding.....

OUCH!

I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy.

I decided this time to breastfeed. I did with Rilyn for about the first 2 weeks and then she was a formula baby! I couldnt take the pain! But this time I decied to give it another try. For one, its very good for the baby and two, its a heck of alot cheaper!! Its just super painful! The good thing is that the pain is starting to ease up. It gets easier day, by day. For instance, let me give you an example of how day 1 felt..... Have you ever wondered what it would feel like if you stuck your nipple in a blender? on high speed?...Yea, pretty darn painful. And day 2, well it got easier. It was like... sticking a hot iron to your breast, for hours!. ...See, it does get easier! Now it just feels like a Piranha has latched on!... And I sware this kid has teeth!!!! I just have to keep telling myself this sooo much better for my Raigen than formula. And cheaper too!! :)

FINALLY! The wait is over!

Oh my, this has to have been the longest pregnancy ever! But, soooo worth the wait! Our little Raigen Elise Long was born 12/16/2009 at 7:51 am. She weighed 7lbs 12oz, and was 20 inches long. And its official! We have the 2 most beautiful girls in the world! Seriously, check Guinness book of world records! AND theres been talk of us doing a TV show... I just cant put the girls through that though...lol. :)

SO far things are GREAT!LOL... We were expecting to be up alot at night with her.. nope! Shes perfect! She sleeps great, eats like her daddy, and is just as cute as her big sister. My poor Rilyn though has been sick ever since we got home from the hospital! :( She has a horrible cough! Shes the one keeping us up all night! Poor baby... I hope she gets better soon.

Daddy showing Rilyn her new baby! She fell in love with her! It was the cutest thing! Every time the nurse would come to get Raigen from our room, Rilyn would cry and say "I want my baby!" She constantly kisses her and hugs her.... Its the cutest thing Ive ever seen.
