100TH DAY OF SCHOOL 2014

Today was the 100th day of school, and in honor of that everyone dressed up as 100 year old men and women.

Everyone except Rilyn.

She refused.

However, C.J was more than excited to dress up and wear the white beard I made him out of cotton balls.

Here he is, pre-beard.

Suspenders and all!

"You didn't make me one, did you?!" Rilyn gasped nervously referring to the beard I was making C.J.

"No." I said laughing, "only old men have beards., silly!"

"Nu-uh, Lubby has a beard!" said C.J, matter-of-actly.

"She only has a half of one!" argued Rilyn.

In case you are wondering, Lubby is their grandma.

Secret Spelling

To keep things we are talking about from little ears, Josh and I often spell things to each other.
Ever since our 6 year old, Rilyn,  has learned to read, she's been trying to do it too.

Last night she totally caught us off guard with her "secret spelling".

The kids were in the kitchen with me while I was cooking dinner.
Rilyn asked if she could make herself a drink.

She knows she is not allowed to have coke, or any soda for that matter, but apparently she wanted some and she didn't want the "little kids" to hear.

"Hey mom..." she whispered holding a 2 liter.

"Can I have some.... C-O-C-K?"

She is NEVER allowed to spell again.
Ever.
