WHAT'S UP WEDNESDAY (04/24/19)

Posts like these are often my favorite. Life flies by quick, friends, and I want to remember these days forever.

So guys, in case you are wondering about our week, here ya go:

1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:

Do you ever feel like you're in a slump? Eating the same ole thing every week. I get like that. I traded in some of my weekly recipes for some easy ones since we are living that #ballparklife right now.
We have a kid in softball and one in baseball right now so most of our life  days and nights are being spent at the ballpark. We also do travel softball too.

Monday:
This was our first night FREE in a while! Josh wanted some good home cooked food so I made steak fingers, mashed potatoes, fried okra, and rolls. #sosososogood
I NEVER fry stuff so this was a treat! Let me add too that all four kids had dentist appointments at 5pm after work and I didn't even have to beg Josh to take them! (He had no clue what he was getting himself into, ha!)

And after not getting home till about 8 I'm sure he'll never volunteer to do that again.

Tuesday:
We had a softball game and then Raigen picked up with another team, so we had two games. Luckily I had something super easy planned for dinner.
We had bean and cheese burritos covered in queso! We also had leftover Cowboy Caviar dip and tortilla chips to serve along side too.

Wednesday:
We have  church and softball practice for our travel team so we usually eat out, but we are getting so tired of eating out so I'm making chicken sliders in the crockpot! I will season my chicken and let it cook all day. Right before I serve it, I will shred it, add bbq sauce, and serve it on a bun with pickles and onion! Add a side of fancy-smancy potato chips (some other sides we like are potato salad and coleslaw!) and its a meal!

Thursday:
Surprise! We have softball!
We'll be having my easy tortellini soup! My kids love this. And bonus- it cooks up SO fast! I'll serve it with a salad and garlic bread. I probably omit the hamburger meat (to cut the time) and just toss in some black olives and  pepperonis that I crisped in the oven! Yum!

Friday:
I don't cook so we are eating out!

2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

Look at this cute Easter baby! We are rolling up on his FOURTH birthday ... how is that even possible! :(

And of course, all my sweets a couple of Easters ago:

I reminisce about it ALL! Ya'll, my babies are growing up too fast!

  3: WHAT I’M LOVING:

I have all the heart eyes for this set a sweet friend surprised me with.

These cute personalized monogram necklaces I'm selling:

This verse is a favorite in our house lately:

This coffee cup a sweet friend got me for my birthday! I LOVE me some 90's music!

And of course I am loving Livingston Crew 10U softball! We went home champs in our last tournament! Let's do it again this weekend too, girls!

Annnnd the CUTEST ballpark brothers!

CURRENTLY (MARCH-APRIL 2019)

1.  In case you didn't know, I'm super competitive.

I'm currently signed up as head coach for my daughters league ball team and we are UNDEFEATED! WOO HOO! I know there will come a day when another team is gonna knock me off my high horse but until then, I'm over hear screaming/singing, DJ KAHLE...... ALL I DO IS WIN, WIN, WIN NO MATTER WHAT...! Haha!

Side note: I may be signed up as head coach, but Josh has been 'coaching' LOL

I did draft the team myself though! :)

2. FUN FACT: I HATE  hoop earrings.  They are gross to me.

3. I just discovered Vampire Diaries and I AM ADDICTED.

Ya'll remember last year when I finally jumped on the Sons of Anarchy train and binged it all on Netflix and then I secretly wanted Josh to grow his hair out, buy a motorcycle, and join a biker gang?#nobigdeal

Well, I'm not saying I want to be a vampire... but I want to be a vampire.

Also, is Elena ever going to fall in love with Damon? Cause if not, I need to quit watching like, now. #teamdamon

4. I ditched the Fitbit and joined #teamapple! Finally.

5. I've been wanting to spruce up my boring pantry doors and I ran across this AWESOME vinyl. It has the look and feel of real wood, super cheap, and is easily removed if I ever change my mind!
I'm obsessed!

6. In other very important news- It was my birthday!

7. For my birthday my sweet husband bought us tickets to see Francis and Lisa Chan (along with some other great speakers!) He knows I'm a huge fan of them. We've done bible studies of two of the speakers so it will be neat to see them live!

8. That would be my husband on our roof.

Yep.

Tree limb-1
 Roof-0

 9. Just for fun- a picture of Josh and his grandma now and a flashback to 1987!
Same blanket in the background.

10. And while we are re-creating pictures and such we stumbled across this old photo of Josh when he was about Ryker's age.

And, nope. They don't resemble near as much as I thought they would.

11.
I thought I would be so trendy and order some over-sized nerd glasses in hopes Id look like this:

Instead I looked like this:

Um. Yeah. Not cute.

12. Speaking of cute!
Look at this T-ball cutie!!!!!!!!!

13. And my favorite 3rd grader surprised me and came out of her room in the same pajamas I was wearing!

I hope she still thinks this is cool in 20 years!

14. And because needing roof repairs isn't enough. We had major leaking going on in the kids bathroom and had to rip everything out!

15. Recently big sis has expressed interest in softball! #saywhat

We didn't see that one coming! She has been practicing and doing SO good!

And that about sums up what been currently going on in the Long house!
