Slap Happy {2018 Fall Ball}

Tonight was Raigen's league team's first game (after a 3 week delay because of rain).

Let me just say- I am SO proud of my girl!

She just started pitching a few months ago and shes come SO FAR!

She usually plays first base and short, but now she's officially added "pitcher" to her resume!

We have been playing travel ball for a while now and we weren't even going to sign up for league ball- BUT we thought it would give this new pitcher some much needed practice, so we did.

We fell short, and lost, but we had fun and my girl pitched her heart-out and threw so many strikes so, that's winning in my book!

50's Day, Homecoming & Zombie Softball

What a fun-filled Fall weekend.

Let me just say, #thankyoujesus for the weather! It was absolutely gorgeous and much enjoyed! Especially after 3 weeks of RAIN!

Saturday and Sunday our new 10U Livingston Crew team played in our 2nd official tournament, zombie style!

I hooked all the girls up with zombie makeup since it was a Halloween style tournament.

We had a lot of fun and learned a lot and although we didn't place I am so proud of the girls! They have already come so far in such a short time!

Friday night we celebrated Homecoming and took Ryker to his FIRST FOOTBALL GAME! #saywhat?

I can't believe we haven't taken him to a football game before!

To say he love it would be an understatement!

He especially loved the mascot, the cheerleaders, and the candy from concession! Haha!

When we left he said, "mom, I really loved that parade!" :)

P.S- Not sure why he is all the sudden throwing up weird gang signs for pictures.....but.

Friday during the day Josh and I headed to our favorite elementary school to check out this sweet girl's LAST 50's Day!

 Raigen & her bestie!

Our sweet girl got to be on stage and rocked it!

And that wraps up our pretty awesome weekend!

Easy Mexi-Chili Cassarole

I googled "Easy chili recipes" and this pops up:
In a large stock pot lightly brown ground beef, and drain if needed.
Add diced onion and minced garlic and cook until onion is translucent.
Add tomatoes, diced tomatoes with chile peppers, tomato sauce, water, kidney beans, pinto beans, chili powder, cumin, sugar, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Um.... doesn't sound easy to me.

Okay, maybe it does sound easy, but not QUICK! :)

I need stuff I can throw together in under 30 minutes and bonus points if my crockpot can cook it all day for me.  :)

( I have an Instapot, however, I am still #teamcrockpot)
You guys know me, I like 5ish-ingrediant recipes. :)
And preferably one where I dont have to chop and crap-ton of stuff.

SO- I made my own Mexican chili casserole tonight and it turned out AWESOME! Think taco soup and chili had a baby! 😂

This is yummy, simple, and will definitely be on rotation all Fall!
Ingredients:
1lb of hamburger meat (or turkey)
1 can of ranch beans
1 Can if chili tomatoes  (I use HEB brand)
1 packet of ranch dressing seasoning
1 pack of taco seasoning
1 can charro beans (I use HEB brand)
2 boxes of corn bread (we use Jiffy)

Optional: garnish with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chives.

Directions:

Brown your meat. Add in all your cans and seasoning, pour it in a greased 9x12 pan and top with your corn bread mix (made according to directions).

Pop it in the oven and cook it till your cornbread is done.

(This makes a lot, um, duh... family of six over here!)

BOOM!

Fall dinner in a bowl!

And I guarantee EVERYONE will love it!

Christmas Card Pictures 2018- Take 1

This past weekend I dug out some Christmas decor and set up a little scene and in about 8 minutes we had these cute Christmas card pictures.

I had a grand plan of picking some cute coordinating pajamas and as it turned out- we didn't need them.

Half of my kids are wearing their shirts backward to hide the design on them and Ryker is pantsless and covering up with Josh's flannel shirt as a "blanket" :)

And with that said- hey, guys I'm doing Christmas minis for $25!!!

And I'm booking up fast! Get with me soon if you need some Christmas card pictures because as of TODAY we have exactly TWO MONTHS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Rilyn's Spook-tacular 11th Birthday!

The Invite:

(If you guys need any custom invites- let me know ;)

I want to go ahead and say that- I totally dropped the ball in the picture taking department at this party.

She had a ton of friends show up and I was super busy sending screaming kids thru our cool homemade haunted house which turned out GREAT by the way.

It was a huge hit!!!!

And pretty spooky!

I feel like with this age group it could of went either way. Like, either it was going to be "super cool" (and it was) or it was going to be "totally lame".

I'll give you a rundown of how the night went and then you can see all four pictures I took, :)

Guest were to arrive at 8 PM and we sent them thru our haunted house until 8:45.

And y'all, they did not want to quit going thru that thing! They loved it!

Next, we did the costume contest, cake,  and presents while Josh sat the projector up for the outdoor movie.

For the movie we planned on watching The Labyrinth (the birthday girls choice) and we rented it on Amazon but we quickly learned even with our big speaker Amazons volume for the movie sucked. So we switched to Netflix and watched  Coraline.

While they watched the movie we served juice, popcorn, nachos, and Sour Patch Kids.

The party was over at 10:45 and our sweet ELEVEN year old had a wonderful night!
