Bad Dreams..

This morning my precious Ryker had a bad dream and it broke my heart.

He woke this morning and with a scared little voice, he said, "mama, I had a scary dream."

"Well it was just a dream, buddy." I said and snuggled him a little closer.

"Mama, I fell in the water and I was sinking and  I  couldn't get out."

Ya'll! My poor baby was having a dream he was drowning.

My heart shattered.

As my eyes swelled up and my voice cracked, I tried to change the subject to cheer him up.

"Don't have those silly bad dreams anymore, okay? Lets have dreams about you helping Cat Boy save the day."

"But. the bridge was wobbly and I was just trying to sit down, but then I falled in." he said.

"It was not real. You know mama wont let you go by water with out me, right?"

"And I'll always hold your hand, okay?" I added.

"But I was trying to call for somebody to help, but nobody was there. And I just kept sinking."

At this point I am glad the room was still dim because I am quite sure my face would of freaked him out- the site of me trying to hold it all in while dying on the inside.

This is the part of parenting that is HARD.

And I know it was  'just a dream', but hearing your three year old vividly remember his bad dream of him drowning, is something I NEVER want to hear ever again.

He's been on my heart and mind all day and  I tear up just reliving this morning.

My Sweet Boy, please don't have those mean ole' dreams anymore, okay? Mama cant handle  stuff like this, okay?

LIVINGSTON CREW GOES TO A&M!

Pictured above: Braelee, CJ, Rilyn, Raigen and Ryker is the little guy in the front

This past weekend my sweet hubby, who also happens to be Raigen's 10U travel softball coach, arranged for us (and our 8U sister softball team) to attend an A & M Softball game against LSU!

We had the BEST time, and although they lost, it was truly a memorable experience. We left loving A & M and with every girl on our team aspiring to play for them one day.

A & M rolled out the red carpet and let our girls come out on the field, announced us as Team of the Day, and they got to shake the players hands! NO ONE wanted to wash their hands on the way home! HA!

After the game we hung out and waited for the team and all the girls got autographs on their softball.
#softballheaven

I can't say 'Thank You' enough to A & M. They were the sweetest and definitely made our girls' day. We have already had to promise to take our kiddos to more games since it was the 'Best Day Ever!'

Gig 'em!

Spring Break {2019} Family Fun Day!

Here in the Long House, we don't take trips on Spring Break.

I just really don't care for big crowds or the fact that prices triple just for this week.

We do always do a family fun day!

This year we ventured to Old McDonalds Farm! It was Ryker's first visit and my big kids haven't been in years, so it was fun for the whole family. I can truly say we all enjoyed it!

Ryker kept asking to go see the pinguins. I was like, "dude, we are at the FARM. There aren't pinguins here!"

And he was like, "look! I see their house!"

Haha!

Im pretty sure they were exceeding some kind of weight limit on that last  train car:
LOL!

I just love this goofy bunch!

After the farm we stopped at Starbucks, because, well...  #preteeninthecar.

Here I am pictured with Josh's drink.

You see- Josh likes to make fun because I love coffee but im just not a fan of Starbucks.

As soon as we pulled in he said, "this is what REAL coffee is suppose to taste like. Not that foo foo stuff you drink!"

Also Josh-"hi, can I order a Cloud Carmel Macchiato Venti, please?"

Next we headed to our favorite movie spot with the most amazing recliners! But first lunch! We only had about 25 minutes to spare so we dined at Kroger!
#becausekrogeristhebest!

Turns out only Josh and Raigen really wanted to see a movie so it was a Daddy-Daughter Movie Date! And the rest of us SHOPPED!

We ended a perfect day at our favorite place- the ball park.

And Rilyn tried catching for the first time! I am still so, so proud of her! She did AMAZING!

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!
