Super easy-cheesy tortellini soup!

The BEST soup, ever!!!

Ya'll, this soup tastes like something from the Olive Garden or better! #notkidding

While I am well aware that it isn't soup season, but I have two sick kids who are not wanting to eat I wanted to make something easy to swallow, filling, and yummy. And they just aren't chicken soup fans. I sort of married two recipes together that I came across and came up with this!

And did I mention that this big ole pot of soup cost less than $10?!?!

Here's what you'll need:

1lb of hamburger meat
1 package of cream cheese
1 small bag of cheese tortellini-frozen
1 large can of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I used the Del Monte, its like, .90! Garlic and Herb is our fave!)
1 32oz beef broth
Parmesan to garnish!

(This would also be yummy with spinach added in! But I wanted to ensure my sick guys would eat it, so I left it out!

Directions:

Brown your meat and drain. After I drain it, I pour it back in the pot and season with garlic powder and season all salt.

Add your beef broth, tomato sauce, and tortellini.

While that's coming to a boil, cube up your cream cheese and add it in.

Let it simmer until the cream cheese is melted and the tortellini is done. It should take about 6 to 8 minutes.

I served it with salad and garlic bread! And everyone asked for seconds!!!

Not my picture, but this is what the end product looks like!

Alton Brown, yall!!!

Last month Rilyn and Josh were excited to finally head to see Alton Brown, live! They are huge fans and got tickets from Josh's mom for Christmas.

My baby was so excited to spend an evening out with her Dad and even asked me for money because she wanted to surprise him and buy him dinner. I can only imagine the giggles when she whipped out the Olive Garden gift card I gave her!

And would you belive it if I told you that they spotted him in the parking lot coming out of his tour bus when they were headed in?! It was like a private meet -n-greet!
HER NIGHT WAS MADE, YALL!!

This child is obsessed with all things Alton Brown and wants to grow up and be a chef and  I'm so glad she got this special experience that I know she'll never forget!

P.S HOW STINKIN' CUTE IS SHE?

P.S.S. Is it me or could she totally pass as his child?! Haha!

Rilyn's 1st Swim Meet of the Season!

This past Saturday we woke at 5AM, dressed in our green and blue, and headed out of town to support this girl and her swim team!

Rilyn LOVES swim and this was her 1st meet this season and she rocked it! She scored 1st place in Freestyle and shaved 22 seconds off of her time last year! YAY RILYN!

I love watching her do what she loves and it sure does make getting up at 5am on a Saturday more enjoyable when I see this smile!

P.S. We missed our Raigen because she was at her 1st ever sleepover! :(  #stopgrowing

Mother's Day 2017

This Mother's Day I wanted nothing more then to do nothing. We have been so busy with swim team and softball. I am so wore out.

Sunday, I slept in (this NEVER happens!)  and woke to the kids and Josh making me breakfast!

Rilyn was in charge of pancakes and she made a special mini pancake for Ryker... man, I hope he's hungry! :)

Next, I spent some time playing with my cricut and I whipped up these cute Mother's Day gifts for my mom and MIL and then took a glorious NAP!

And if you think my day couldn't get any better, I woke for dinner and my plate was already made!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ME!

Teacher Appreciation Week Gifts 2017

We are dead in the middle of moving and super busy with All Stars and Swim Team, but I couldn't let this week slip by without making something for our AWESOME teachers to congratulate them on surviving a year with our kids!

I had plans to make something cute with my Cricut, but this week slipped by and I found myself up until 11:30 last night putting together these super cute Teacher Survival Kit gifts!

I picked up these organizers at Dollar Tree and filled it with things a teacher may need. I couldn't fit a chocolate bar or a Sonic gift card, but everything else is there!

And my AWESOME hubby whipped up these cute personalized teacher notepads for me!

We LOVE our teachers and have been so blessed with the best!
